Re: Very early in 4/180 PP aces facing check-raise
Your line looks fine, my guess is you happen to run into someone elses dream flop (straight or set). Someone w/ AK/KQ, especially at this level would do the same, so I try to get all my chips out there.

Re: Very early in 4/180 PP aces facing check-raise
Yuck. I wouldn't worry too much about the straight, since I doubt he's check-raising you (potentially out of the pot) while holding the nuts. More likely is some kind of two-pair holding, or a set of 9s or 10s. True, he may just have a King with a kicker that gives some gut buster potential, but the check-raise is questionable if that's all he has. I think a person holding AK or KQ in this spot would be more inclined to lead out after hitting top pair with this board.
Without more information, I may just let the Aces go here and save the remaining t1240. I'd hate it, but I'd probably do it. I just hate going broke this early in a tournament holding only one pair. --TFGoose |

FWIW, I'd play it exactly as you did everytime.
