Default parking at yankee stadium

whats the cost typically? (range)

how hard is it to take a train from hoboken instead? i seem to recall i would have to take the train from hoboken to penn, then take a different train to the stadium (or close by)?
how much extra time would i have to alot for train schedule? i mean, is there a train leaving every 10 minutes? or every hour.

im gonna go try to look up the schedules.

If you don't want to drive all the way to the stadium then park at Port Authority and take the subway up. This is probably the best option and is better than parking in Hoboken and going from there. Port Authority is on 40th and 8th, right after you get out of the Lincoln Tunnel.

Bill Simmons' most recent column mentions a discussion on the Mike and the Mad Dog show about parking normally being $10, except when the Red Sox are in town ($30).

I only go to Yankee Stadium for Red Sox games, always park in one of the Yankee-owned garages, and have never paid more than $10.

Not true. We parked next to the stadium for $13 when the Red Sox were in town. Parking is very easy, especially if you get there early and get a good spot, and you can get out quickly if you know where to park. The train is not hard to take in either and I think we estimated we would have gotten back in our cars to the train station the same time the train would have.

Taking the train >>> driving. If it is a weekend game that goes late it will also complete the New York Experience.

ok, im back
parked in the west lot $13
traffic was fairly brutal getting to the game (mainly at the gwb)
leaving wasnt as bad, but there was definitely traffic.
i left my seat top of the ninth, watched the last out on the lower level at the handicapped area and split on out 3.
this was helpful as we would have been really jammed up if we left with everybody else.
i will look into taking a train next time.
