Questions about walking in Vegas
I am turning 21 on Monday so I will be in Vegas Sunday night. I am staying at the Flamingo and from the Photoc Maps I can see Bellagio, Ceasear, Mirage, and Wynn are all pretty close to the Flamingo. I want to try and play at all those places but what I want to know if how bad the walks are. It doesnt look very far on the maps but I would like to know a personal experience. Don't need to know all of them just like how long it takes to get to the Wynn from the Bellagio or Ceasers.
Also, if you want to suggest which of the 4 casinos is better for baby NL by all means please do so. |

Re: Questions about walking in Vegas
I would say Wynn is about a 20 minute walk from Bellagio, possibly 15 depending how fast you walk. Caesars is right next to Bellagio so call it about 15 minutes from there. Wynn is on the opposite side of the street from Bellagio and Caesars and is next to Venetian.

Re: Questions about walking in Vegas
From Flamingo you can take the entrance into Bellagio on the corner of Flamingo Rd. and Las Vegas Blvd. (The Strip) and be in the poker room in 5 minutes. Caesar's is right across the street.
Mirage is up the road on the other side of the street... walking there and getting into the poker room would take a solid 15. From Flamingo to Wynn on foot a solid 20. |

Objects in Vegas appear closer than they are.

Re: Questions about walking in Vegas
It is MUCH farther to everything than the maps suggest. However... you are in the sweet spot.
From Flamingo it is trivially walkable up to Venetian to the north and Alladin to the south. Wynn is approaching the "too far to be thrilled to walk it" realm, but not at all unreasonable and *I* would walk long as it's <=99F and not pouring rain. Flamingo is in the middle of everything, and 'bout everything is reachable on foot if you aren't terribly fat or terribly lazy or terribly in a hurry or suffering from plantar fasciitis. You'll want to take the monorail to Sahara. Might wanna monorail to MGM, though Flamingo to MGM is still a pleasant sorta walk. If you're aiming for Mandalay Bay... ok, cab it or drive it or Deuce it. And no, I don't recommend walking to downtown from Flamingo. |

Re: Questions about walking in Vegas
The strip is about 3 miles long and Flamingo is near the center of it. Your max walking distance to any of those places is going to be 20-30 min. unless you are badly out of shape. Personally I like the dry heat and the walk goes by quickly when you take in the sights and smells.
