Did I just witness sexual harrassment?

So, I work at a very small TV station in advertising. There are 3 of us who work together and our boss, the sales manager. He is pretty brash, blunt, but overall pretty nice. We think he has passive aggressive disorder.

Anyway, I work closely with a male and a female, and the following email dialogue was just shown to both me and our male peer by the female peer. The convo was between our boss and her.

Her: What should I prepare for XXXXXX Symphony Orchestra?

Him: Salad and a cheeseburger? [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Her: What kind of dressing?

Him: Un?

A strange convo I know, but its about advertising, and he makes the joke about food, then the joke about ... well, I'll let you figure it out.

Did I witness sexual harrassment?

I'm sure people have been sued for less but to get all up in arms about this one item in a vacuum is crazy. I guess I'd tell her to file away this one and any others that are similar in nature. If it becomes a trend she has evidence.

Of course I have no business in the situation. I've seen him do other things.

Like, he was complimenting my suit one day, then turned to her (she is wearing an orange shirt) and says "I like the orange" and rubbed her arm. Nothing too terribly bad, but I could tell she was uncomfortable.

I find it annoying and pathetic, TBH.

I think his wife and kids, as well as her complete disdain and dislike for him blocked him long ago.

The boss has to go. It's impossible to rebuild a normal dynamic between 2 people once one side sees the other as an animal/sexual predator/whatever. He'll come to work smiling and she'll think he's imagining her naked, or whatever.

I think your boss is just being playful. If she is uncomfortable she should tell him to stop. Getting worked up about something like this is ridiculous. I guess their relationship is pivotal to how these types of things are interpreted, but from you wrote I interpret as entirely joking.
