99 again, but this time I\'m SB
This isn't the first blind confrontation with villain. Here is what happened in the previous orbit:

I really like my chances w/ 99 in a blind battle...Cap that shizzle all day long

Re: 99 again, but this time I\'m SB
Cap pre-flop, or Stop and Go, or c/r the flop...depending on what falls?
That's just off the top of my head. Not saying it's a viable strategy as I'm still working on this. |

Re: 99 again, but this time I\'m SB
i like calling and check raising good flops and getting to showdown.
if i get a bad flop like KQx KJx AQx AKx AJx, etc, check fold. |

Re: 99 again, but this time I\'m SB
At 6max I'd cap it in a heartbeat, but I'm with miles here.
I'm guessing we have close to 50% equity either way, but we'd rather play a small pot out of position, and we also lessen our positional disadvantage since BB is usually auto betting the flop. |

Re: 99 again, but this time I\'m SB
I think calling and capping are both good plays, and they both cause everything to play out entirely differently. I decided to cap because I attacked his blind on the previous orbit. If he's playing a weak resteal, I want him to be put under considerable pressure to fold early postflop so that he doesn't snag a pair better than 9s on the end. This also makes it easier for me to fold postflop if I'm facing resistance.
