I'd CRAI. You're pretty much even money (slight dog) with the hands he'll push with, but I think you have more FE with a CR and you might get a CB from the hands that won't call the push, ie: KK-QQ, etc.

My opponent's criticisms also included the preflop call. How is that?

I think it sucks. He has $300. You'd have to know a lot about him to make that call, IMO. Like, on some Sklansky theoretical situation type [censored] where he'll push any flop no matter what.

Stacks way too short for this call. OOP with a suited two gapper for ~30BBs? Yuck.

Since you got here, stacks are perfect for the c/r.

Betting loses potential CB monies and puts you in a [censored] spot when he just calls with an A, like he will a lot of the time.

3. I pushed (with 88, because in the orbit before he called from the SB with suited almost-connectors, and because the lead looked WEAKSAUCE to me, like scared 99). I would have folded to CRAI.

On this flop I'd be looking to get my stack in, rather than pick up the pot right now. I do think b3b is a good line to take, but an Ace I think has a hard time in the light of your bet here with the effective stacks being only $315.

I think b3b is a good line, but I'd bet more like 40-50ish.
