Let's say I recently acquired a job at a restaurant. This restaurant has a fairly large menu, and I'd like to remember it as quick as possible.
I usually go over the menu a bunch of times until it's burned into my brain. Then I right down all the menu items based off their location. Ex. Entrees, Starters, Salads, etc... What are some useful techniques that you use to memorize things? |

For something like a menu, maybe you could construct meals of an app, an entree, side, and dessert. Then go through mixing and matching. Definitely write them down. This might help get them in your head.

Tatoo the menu to your forearm. [/ QUOTE ] If you're gonna bother with tattoos...might as well take it all the way, Scofield style. ![]() |

Colored notecards. When I was bartending a few years back, I had to take a test knowing the ingredients of something like 250 drinks. They were broken up into 5 price categories too. I put all the drinks on notecards of different color based on the drink categories. When I was taking the test, it was much much easier to picture the color of the notecard, therefore giving me the price of the drink.
