Default No choice here right?

Late in a 1400 man 40K guaranteed @ Party. 200 left. I have 26K

Blinds 800/1600 with 25 or 50 ante

I am 2 off the button with 10h10c and raise to 4000,

Short stack of 8600 (9200 pre SB post) in the small blind calls.

Flop comes As, 6s, 2s.

SB checks, I push.

I can't get away from this hand can I and have to push here right?

Sorry bro, I haven't figured out how to get the complete tourney hand history from Party Poker and unfortunately I didn't save this history when I could have grabbed that individual hand.

How do I do get the full tourney history from Party?

I play mostly on Stars, but I believe you only need to request the HH. It may even be saved directly to your hard drive, if it's anything like Stars.

edit: if you want to improve your games, keep posting, but hand history is critical, it gives you so much more information and allows you to review your own play afterwards. You should be reviewing your HH's and other HH's as well.

And now back to the question...

What's your read on the villain (if any)? I mean, he just called 3200 more of his stack to create a 10K pot, leaving himself 5K behind. If he is a donkey, you have to be concerned that he called this bet with a weak Ace or something, and will call your push. Of course, he might have also called with KJ or "the monster of all hands" QJ I've been seeing so much of lately (for some reason), and will fold if you push.

On the flip side, if he's a decent player, he probably would've re-raised you pre-flop with a pocket pair better than tens, though I have seen KK or AA played this way. I also think that a short stack would've pushed with AK or AQ here, and just calling with anything less than that sucks.

So, again, what was your read on villain? I think there's a good likelihood of being ahead of him if he's a good player, but very possibly behind if he's not. Regardless, a push on your part will give him 3-1 odds to call, which makes calling with even just a loan spade correct.

If its a good player and you think he knows what a stop and go is then he has a pair of aces minimum and you are drawing slim.

i think you are being trapped by a donk. a good player either reraises you PF with a hand, knowing you will have the odds to call, and so get all the money in the pot PF or will fold and hope to do something when he is the button. a donk with a hand will try to "suck you in" without realizing that at this point you are pot committed anyway.
i would check this down, but anyway call just because of the odds if he pushes

then everyone is a "donk" because nobody is going to lead w/ the nuts into a preflop raiser who is going to put him in every time regardless.
