Default My jacks didn\'t make a set OOP.. so they go to the muck

$10/45

I found this to be a genuinely tough spot, on both streets.

Villain is a winning player over a decent sample size at these stakes. He still click raised me preflop, so I don't know.

I've been open raising several times, sometimes over limpers, and often taken down the pot. Raised from MP and took the blinds two hands ago. Villain might have observed it, might not have.

Uncalled bets: t800 returned to Button.

Used timebank for like 10 seconds on both two decisions. Made me feel real weak.

Do anything differently here?

It's for sure a tough spot, what was your reason for not leading this flop? For the simple reason that almost all hands will c-bet here I think leading gives you a better idea of where you are in the hand.

I guess I would just need alittle more info to be sure that this is QQ+ before I fold.

I didn't lead, because if I did, and villain pushed, there would be so much money in the pot, and so little left in my stack.

CRAI > leading

Still, I though check/fold would be even better. I just didn't think I could beat much here. Slight chance of AK.. maaaaybe TT. Still those have to be weighed out, because he'd be more likely to just call with them.

When he only bet 1/2 pot on the flop, I kinda made up my mind, but I certainly didn't like it.

I dunno - I believe leading here is the way to go. Its a safe bet that villian missed the flop outside of 99 & 99 should check behind here to give you a chance to lead the turn. So, what does he hold? AK-AQ & AA-88 are very likely for a slightly LAGgy villian. JJ plays well against this range. Lead 800 as you have some FE on that flop vs. unpaired overs. If he pushes over your lead, then you have odds to call vs a reasonable hand range.

leading is pretty awful guys... i would shove over a lead here with a whiff everytime and probably call with the hands i planned to felt (QQ+). he says that villian is a good, winning player... against a player like that, leading is really bad.

edit: also, the notion that he's min-3betting 88-TT and AQ is absurd.

i don't mind the c/f here... however, against a winning player like that, especially if you guys have been at the table for a while (in other words, he knows youre not a fish), i feel like there's some chance it's a misclick, in which event c/r is pretty good.
