$11 NLTRN: Facing a river shove
This hand was early in the tournament. I knew my opponent was loose (willing to call flop/turn with marginal hands), but I had no solid read on aggression or bluffiness. Is this a spot where I'm almost always beat?

Re: $11 NLTRN: Facing a river shove
I'm usually folding here unless its very late at night at villans location and he's -30 ROI on mad tilt. You still have 1340 chips left which should give you plenty of ammo to play.

Fold. He made a flush, has a ten, or likes betting all in and will give you a better spot.

Re: $11 NLTRN: Facing a river shove
yes fold river, an alternative play is to check turn and call a small river bet/bet half pot on river.
You may get called by some small PP's or a J on river, plus it keeps pot small when you're either way ahead (he has PP)or way behind (he has T or flush) or equal (he has K and its a chop). You have to fold the river you only split it or beat a bluff, i hate the cliche but wait for a better spot. |
