99...all streets debatable.
live 10/20, playing 7 handed as there are a few walkers.
Folds to CO who open raises. Not sure of his range here, my guess is medium-big offsuit aces, all suited aces, all broadways, pairs 66 and up. Seems like a fairly conservative player, but not really a rock. I have 99 in BB. I think about 3 betting but decide I'm better off seeing the flop first vs his range. Well the flop is awesome for 99: K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, he bets. I think about folding right away but decide I might be ahead of a just enough of his range now to see the turn. So I call. The turn is a pretty good card I think, the Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I bet, hoping to fold out all ace high hands, and maybe even TT-JJ. Unfortunately he calls. The river is the almighty K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] , leaving me with nothing. I bet.

Against the player described, I threebet preflop. I have an equity advantage plus seeing his reaction to the threebet will allow me to play the hand more optimally on later streets, I think. On the flop, I think c/f and c/r are better than c/c. What I would do probably depends on information about villian that I don't really have. My first thought was c/f, but with pokerstove i see we have like 40% equity here, so I'd c/r and bet until raised at which point I'd fold against this villian. Also given the pokerstove results c/c is better than c/f.

Preflop: Seems like you have a fair amount of equity against his range and taking the lead in the hand is nice.
Flop: As played I'm done with the hand. He would have to be very bluff happy for me to consider calling down. Turn: If I'm going to get tricky here I think I checkraise instead. Looks more credible. But then I guess there really arn't a ton of hands that you really want to fold.... basically just JJ/TT and AJ/T. A king or queen or a real draw isn't folding no matter what. You would rather that ace/small and 66 type hands stay in the hand. Hmmm. I think I'm still leaning towards the checkraise (when I want to make an aggressive move - I'm still not sold that we belong in this hand) because I do believe that villian is more likely to call us down with AT type stuff when we lead. River: Probably ok if you think he will fold J/T high type hands here.
