Here is the legislation thread, this is an important issue for most 2+2ers. Your calls could vastly help the likelyhood that we can still gamble online next year.

Define how serious this is? Is it likely to pass etc? Can anyone quantify this with percentage-wise how likely this is going to squash online gambling?

The DoD will pass, it has to. If they manage to attach the rider you won't be able to fund your poker accounts (and neither will your fish who won't go out of their way to figure out work arounds).

If it passes the senate, no more online gambling, atleast for the masses.

Similar legislation has already passed the house and there is no way Bush won't sign onto this if it passes both houses of congress.

QFT, visit the link, find your senators on the linked website there, make the calls. It'll take you 10 minutes for something that to many of you will be worth tens of thousands next year.

LOL, go to legislation and ask this exact question. Prepare to be flamed.

There is no simple answer to this question and the issue isn't that simple. Educate yourself on this issue, contact your senators and fight it.
