about 200 bb deep - interesting turn/river 400 nl cash
we're about 150 hands in. seems like a good 200 nl player. bit too aggro, calls a bit too light. i've been reraising too much oop, and he's been calling down light.
i realize preflop/flop are the least standard part of this hand for many players, but given the last 150 hands i think it's the best way to play it. 770 stacks 2/4 nl he raises to 12. i call with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. flop (24) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] i check. he bets 24. i raise to 72. he calls. turn (166) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] i bet 120. he minraises to 240 with 470 behind. do people think the average player calls a shove with overpairs here? i thought he would call 99, 2x and not much else. he's betting those on the river anyway, so i called with the intention of shoving any heart (bc he might check behind 2x there) and checking the rest to let him bluff/bet his 2x/99. river also, if i call the turn and check the river, he'll probably put me on a stubborn 9 or draw and will v bet overpairs. river (650 or so with 450 behind) a[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] i check. should i push this river, hoping to get a call from a9 or ax heart? |

This guy calls down too light, and you think he ever gets away from an overpair on that board (after the turn) HU? I think both turn and river are easy shoves.

blocking bet, 1/3 pot on river looking to get him to shove would be my line.
