400nl 2 buyins deep. huge pot with QQ
No HH because this is WPX. 4 handed, 400nl. villain has been playing decent it seems, although I've never played with him before. He has about 800, and I didn't see how.. I have been playing aggressive, 3betting, and have shown a 3 barrel bluff (something I do, deal with it) I cover him, and got my stack from having the best hand all in and playing aggressive.
I open to $12 in the CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villain calls in the bb. The flop comes J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] He checks. I cbet 17 which I had been doing vigorously. He CR's to 45. I think about it, and I decide to 3bet the flop. I do this because his CR is smallish and weak looking, + if he raises I can fold and give him credit for a nice combo draw or set. I raise to 111.11. He calls. I thin I have the best hand, AA/KK unlikely, so deep I think he 3bets these hands preflop, and 666/333 prob 4bet flop. Turn is the beautiful 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] He checks, I consider checking behind, but my image was pretty aggressive and I feel that he could likely have AJ here so far. (and call with it) I bet 155.05 into about 250. Like? River is the 8s. He checks. There is about 500 in the pot, and I have about a potsize bet left. I don't think I'm ever behind here, but betting might be thin because its unlikely that hes going to call a riverbet with just top pair. any thoughts? comments on my flop 3bet and turn bet are appreciated. Also if he shoves turn I can fold. |

If you think you are never are behind, of course you should bet the river.

I think a Jack will call 1/2 pot on river, but not much more.

Re: 400nl 2 buyins deep. huge pot with QQ
Unless you have a very aggro image, or villain is very bad I don't like the flop 3 bet too much. A good villain just isn't going to make many mistakes against it.
With that being said if there's value in a flop 3 bet against this guy there's for sure value in a river bet. |

Re: 400nl 2 buyins deep. huge pot with QQ
yeah i usually dont 3bet flop with this hand and stack sizes
if i did it would have been bigger than yours i would have bet more, like 185 on the turn and the last sentence of your second to last paragraph doesnt make sense...if you are never behind then you must bet, how much depends on oponent and his range (same thing??) anyway this guy shounds like QJ-AJ would pay off <275 i thnk i would bet 225 on the river but i wouldnt have gotten there this way |

[ QUOTE ]
Unless you have a very aggro image [/ QUOTE ] I did, thats the only reason i 3bet the flop. Although looking back, the size of the flop 3bet is too small. Results: river I bet about half pot, he calls. I figure hes going to fold a jack to a shove, might make a crying call for half pot. A6 no good. |

That 3 is not a beautiful card if he has A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
