99 in stars nightly - uncomfy on all streets
I have aggro preflop image, villain is 16/7 after 60 and seems to be a solid player.
I feel pretty uncertain/uncomfortable on every street, and usually that means I butchered things pretty badly. Let me know what you think: PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (9 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG (t4780) UTG+1 (t5315) MP1 (t6150) MP2 (t2840) MP3 (t5065) CO (t7125) Hero (t9130) SB (t2240) BB (t2090) Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 5 folds, CO raises to t600, Hero calls t600, 2 folds. Re: 99 in stars nightly - uncomfy on all streets
if u have an aggro image i like 3betting w/ the intention of getting it in pre
flop fine turn i'd rather check behind and call a bet or vbet a blank riv. when he checks the turn i think most of the time he is either giving up or planning to c/r. even if he does call with worse, he's prob not gunna call another bet, so you'd still be getting 1 street of value. but i think you'll get that 1 street of value more often by checking behind turn. as played i'd fold |

[/ QUOTE ] I wasn't really thinking about getting value, rather the cheapest way to win the pot. I figured by betting turn I can pretty safely fold (although maybe he's bluffing or semi-bluffing sometimes, but still not often enough to call?). If I check turn he's definitely vbetting most rivers with his overpairs, and I may end up calling a similar bet anyways. The obvious plus to betting turn is folding out overcard hands with 6 outs preventing them from catching. |

I would call the turn push as played.
Preflop call is OK, as is a reraise. |

Re: 99 in stars nightly - uncomfy on all streets
I would re-raise preflop with your aggreso image. If he calls and bet/ raises flop let it go. With the way the hand is played i would check the turn and see what comes with the intentions of letting it go on the river. Tough situation and correct for feeling awkward. Definitely a good fold though on the turn.

i prefer checking turn and calling most rivers but your line is fine and a fold is in order.
