Default buying a domain name

I am looking at registering a domain name for my wife's new business and setting up a website. I am very new to this. Can someone direct me to the best place I can buy and registerr a domain name and help out with some pointers.

I used godaddy but others may use something different.

I also use godaddy, and they will work for what you need.

If you need hosting too, most hosters will give you a free domain name if you register with them for 12 months. Check out blue host.
