2/4 BD flush came
After only 80 hands on villain he is at 32% vpip /15pfr/ 2.1 agg. When my Bdraw flush comes in on river call really doesn't cross my mind, so I decide to raise. How much to raise to. What about if villain pushes over my reraise.

Re: 2/4 BD flush came
$165 total, call push. I bet this flop though against most opponents.

Re: 2/4 BD flush came
Don't call a push. That's suicide. Raise fold to a push. The way the action went down he isn't pushing a worse hand.

Re: 2/4 BD flush came
Could someone please tell me why we should call the push? I'm not understanding the logic.

[/ QUOTE ] what's not to understand? his pushing range is wider than just flushes and didn't even start the hand with 100bb. raising to fold to a push is suicide. i actually think we might be able to get away with making a smaller raise(maybe even min) cause his weak bet on the end is sooo weak i think he prob often has 1 pair. |

Re: 2/4 BD flush came
I've just found that mid stakes people are inherentely afraid of flush cards so the rare times he pushes it will be with a bigger flush. As for the small bet size this could be indicate of a monster trying to get value. This isn't 10/20 where the villain will push a set. THe flop went check check putting lots of backdoor flushes in the villains range. Just b/c aggro high stake opponents aren't afraid to three bet a wide variey to hands doesn't mean a normal 400 player will three bet a wide variety.

Re: 2/4 BD flush came
I said to call a push because he seems to be a mediocre player from his VP$IP and his bet sizing, but he seems reasonably aggressive. Mediocre aggressive players get confused at nonstandard lines and they are exactly the type to completely misread your hand as a result of your flop check. He could have been going for the flop checkraise, or he may have spiked a straight (75) on the turn, or hit it on the river (87). You would be getting something like 550:150 to call a push. I don't like folding big hands when I don't have to so I call here and hope for the best.
