50 NL - second nut straight in limped pot, easy call?

Villain1 is running at 20/7/1.5 seems pretty solid but not great.
Villain2 is running at 38/16/5 and is pretty donkish and raises and reraises a lot on the flop.

I checked the flop because of Villain2's aggressive betting.
Cold called the reraise because I want Villain 2 to do something stupid (like move all in). Planned on getting it on a safe turn. The absolute blank hits on the turn and Villain1 massively overbets all in. I snap call.

After looking at the hand at the end of the session I'm quite sure I should have raised the flop...

How would you play?

I would be shocked to see 9T here from villian, esp since you said he plays solid. I would bet flop too.

Yea his flop play could be consistent of having 910, but his turn overbet shove is just soo lame and wierd and I don't think a "seems solid" player, does that with the nuts there.

I don't know, maybe it is closer then I thought...

if this were a raised pot and he was shoving the turn for like 4 buyins, would you call without the nuts?

It actually was the overbet that made me call the bet instantly. Just couldn't imagine him doing this with 109. I also didn't see anything like that from him before.

However, I wasn't so sure if the call was right because it was almost 2 buy ins like already mentioned. I felt a bit stupid calling off almost 2 buyins drawing dead (except for a 10 for the split) [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

EDIT:
I think I could have avoided this with reraising him to something like 30 and fold to a push (as I don't think this player would be pushing here with a set,two pair or draw). This hand makes me dizzy lol

Easy call. You see scared sets or 2 pair afraid of all the draws almost always. There are a lot of hands where all the money goes into the pot - he just happened to have the only hand that had you beat.

It's also worth to consider that you having a 9 makes it even less likely that villain has T9.
