A first time poster offers a pick with no analysis, besides a lame poker line. I am all over this one.

If you are looking at last year stat, it's a no brainer on Memphis +4.5 at home, but all the news is favoring Houston. On a side note, I like Battier a lot, he's definitely better-than-average and has been shooting well, can't see why Memphis sent him to Houston. If I had to bet it'd be Hou -4.5.

I like Battier a ton too and most Grizz fans really hated to see him go (I'm in Memphis, almost was gonig to go to tonight's game actually).

But I think they were just willing to take a chance to mix up the roster somewhat and get guys like Rudy Gay in there.
Memphis has been over-achieving the past 3 years but it can't last forever and they want to eventually not be the 1st-round whipping-boys.

I really didn't want Battier to go either...but I find it pretty silly to try to disagree with a great basketball mind like Jerry West (much less Mike Fratello).

With the line at 4.5 I put a unit on MEM on this one.
MEM is fully rested having not played since Saturday and I don't think HOU is exactly unstoppable.
