Shut down ....?
Villain is 18/16 over 50 hands. His 3-bet range seems narrowish. Whats my line on this flop?

Re: Shut down ....?
Does he double barrel? AK has 10 outs against you, and everything else is killing you. Fold.

[ QUOTE ] I'd fold preflop. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Not sure I agree with the folding preflop. Being deeper would help for calling, but firstly - even though is 3bet range might be narrow, he could be doing this with AK type hands and, secondly, we both have full stacks so theres room to fish for a set - I have no reason to believe he's the type of player who can get away from a big overpair. At the same time, I could see reason to fold preflop, but its not a for sure. |

[/ QUOTE ] AK being in his range hurts us, because on the flop he either has an overpair and is crushing us, or has AK and still has ~24% equity, and we aren't going to stack the AK when a 9 hits unless an A or a K hits, and we really aren't getting that great odds to set hunt. Basically, AK in his range makes it so 1/2 the time when a 9 hits without a A or K, we aren't stacking him, and 1/2 the time when no A, K, or 9 hits we are WA/WB and have no idea where we stand in the hand, and are just completely [censored]. Mash the fold butan. |
