Stupid Creatine Question
As if there was another kind?
Is there any benefit/negatives to cycling off as opposed to staying "on"? Does anyone use creatine without cycling off every few weeks/months? If so do you reload anyway after a few weeks months? I usually do the cycle thing, but would rather not this time. Just making sure there isn't a good reason that I should be cycling instead. |

Re: Stupid Creatine Question
What about the reloading debate?
Some people who stay on just reload every few months, like cycling back on without every cycling off. |

Q: I have heard conflicting information about cycling creatine. Should I or shouldn't I? A: Some studies support creatine cycling and others do not. There are a couple of different "cycling" strategies you can try: 1. Stay on creatine all the time, but reload once every six weeks; 2. Load for a week, stay in your maintenance phase for six weeks, then stop taking creatine completely for a couple of weeks. Repeat. also: http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=69128 http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=192957 http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=41527 short answer: stay on but reevaluate after a few months |

Re: Stupid Creatine Question
thats my theory too..if studies/knowledgable people are so divided, it probably doesnt matter much. therefore id take the most convienent route (staying on)

Re: Stupid Creatine Question
Efour,
You do realize your diet includes several gram of creatine in it daily? Well assuming you eat a diet plentiful in fish and meat. |

Re: Stupid Creatine Question
Yes I was aware of that, but my diet alone doesn't match the performance enhancement I get while supplementing with the monohydrate powder.
Were you pointing that out as a reason not to cycle off? |
