Villain is -20% roi at $48 avg. The pot at the river is t180.

My thinking is that I can't imagine why he would bet so big if he had anything but the queen. Thoughts?

This is fine.

If your opponent doesn't have a queen or a full house he's probably not calling a big raise no matter what. Plus, a raise to like 500 is way more suspicious than a shove. If you shove, you might get looked up by an ace here, maybe even an 8 if he's a hero. Bad players will put you on a missed flush draw when you shove and will call you light.

But the important point here is that a shove will get called more often than a small raise which makes it much, much more profitable. (Even if you thought it'd get called less, its still better unless the ratio of calls to folds decreases significantly)

I prefer that you raise either flop or turn though. That will make it alot easier to get more chips in on average.
