Default AJo in SB - PS .02/.04

Been away from poker for a while and I'm starting over. Figure I'd take $12 and start working my way up the fixed limits. Started re-reading SSHE as well.

CO's numbers were around 25/0 over 35 hands or so. Table was generally loose and passive.

Main question is with PF line. As played, how is the rest?

I raise this preflop but there it is debatable. On the turn, when he capped your 3-bet what did you put him on? I don't think I'm 3-betting this river unless I have a better read on villain.

I'd just check call the river. When CO caps the turn he is saying that he has trip jacks beat.

Rest is good.

I don't think I thought about it that specifically The table in general had been playing so loose with small pair, high cards and dominated cards, I guesstimated that I was ahead.

Would you have check/called or raise/called the river?

Looking back in leisure, I'm thinking bet/call, but in the heat of the moment after he caps me on the turn probably just the call.

when he caps turn I think he has JT or TT, so I am not pushing this anymore, i.e. ok show me your hand punk.

Preflop is good. On the flop I'd gamble that someone will take a stab at it so go for the checkraise. This can cut down the odds the players in between face to draw out on you.

I see so many people, especially fish, overplay trips to a paired board on the turn and river and lose so much. Trips is far weaker than a set and should not be overvalued. bet/call the turn. check/call the river.

I play it the same. I dont see any need to raise AJo preflop from the SB against a lot of loose limpers, as you will be OOP after the flop.

You have it backward, bet/calling a brick river into a turn cap is something people do all the time in the heat of the moment but almost always turns out to be wrong. There is no reason whatsoever to bet this river.
