(3/6) Lost in the wheels of confusion...
UTG was 16/2/0.8-ish after ~40 hands. BB was a typical cold calling fish. Unfortunately my HUD was flickering at the crucial moment preflop so I wound up three-betting my fives.
I placed the blighter UTG on AK after their flop check and thus bet forth, but the turn action delivered a message I was unable to interpret . Is calling down really bad here? "is calling down really bad here"
yeah. also 3betting when your HUD is dark seems a bit nuts. |

Re: (3/6) Lost in the wheels of confusion...
UTG is playing like he loves his hand (or possibly is trying very hard to act like he does). I'm thinking he most likely either loved his AA on the flop and decided to slowplay it or maybe flopped quads or something or possibly didn't continuation bet with overs and the nut flush draw.
But the preflop cap followed by the flop check-call followed by the turn checkraise is usually going to mean trouble here, and I wouldn't think much of my 55 anymore. You do have 4 outs versus a flush on the turn, at least, so there is that. |
