Stars 1k call down on 4 straight board
Early in the tournament so no specific read, though i have numbers on villain that are 24/12 3.5 but only over like 40 hands.
I can't really place a reasonable hand for him to have that has an A except maybe AQ, but most of the time that should fold on the flop if he's a reasonable player. Also, how's my turn check? Re: Stars 1k call down on 4 straight board
in the last year, I've just always folded and thought nothing of it, but I'm curious to see results because it'd be annoying if they somehow learned to bluff there.

Re: Stars 1k call down on 4 straight board
What's range do you put him on on turn. He called ur PR raise and ur flop bet then bet when checked to on turn so reasonable holdings include 55,1010,jj, aq, (kj, aj and a10 less likely b/c he probably would have been happy to check behind). So I think ur right, the only real ace that stands up to the betting sequence is AQ(which is very likely here). He may be doing thin value bet w/ 55,1010,jj or two pair(seems unlikely). So although ur getting almost 3:1 on ur money, I feel like he's flipping over aq a lot here and would probably fold.

Re: Stars 1k call down on 4 straight board
Without specific knowledge of a player, I don't narrow ranges much based on the absence of a check behind on the turn -- specifically here I'd include AJ and AT. I agree with Adanthar that a bet from Villain without an A on the river seems somewhat unlikely, but someone could conclude that you'd probably bet an A on the river if you had one. Flip a coin on this one IMO.
I think I'd bet the turn for value, but I could go either way. Edit: fixed typo |

you think villain's likely to bet aj or a10 on that turn?

Re: Stars 1k call down on 4 straight board
Fold river he isn't floating the flop and almost every hand has enough showdown value to check back or had an ace in it.

you think villain's likely to bet aj or a10 on that turn? [/ QUOTE ] That's another issue, i think he often checks both. |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with this, but my point was that I wouldn't eliminate either based on the turn bet unless I had some knowledge of how Villain plays. Some are less concerned with pot control than others, some are willing to take stabs at pots on the turn after a c-bettor checks. |

Re: Stars 1k call down on 4 straight board
i think the river call is a spew to many AJ, AQ, type hands.
