Why Do I Suck Now?
Have been playing holdem for 10 years, online solid for 2 1/2 years. A fairly consistent winner over that time. Bad stretches here there like anyone else. These last 3 months have been different, nothing goes right at all. Down signifigantly even after a very generous rakeback. Playing stakes mainly 5-10 to 15-30. Are the games just that much tougher now? Or do I just suck?

Re: Why Do I Suck Now?
You suck.
You have probably become set in your ways and are not adpating to the people you are up against. The online competition in many cases is better than is was just a few years ago. Move down to 3/6 or 2/4 and adjust your game, play fewer (or 1) table and begin paying attention. Quit watching porn (or other tv) while playing. Basicly, go back to step one, reinvent your game. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yup. This is exactly what I've done. Before the bill was passed, I played on the Crypto network and had a pretty solid 3-4 PTBB/100 (nothing special, but still a winner) at the $100NL tables, but ever since then I've gone from a slight winner to a breakeven player to what I think is a long-term losing player. I took about a month and a half break, but just this week I decided to get back to the grind and right now I'm playing the $10NL game to reevaluate my game and, if nothing else, rebuild my confidence. I've been a good winner so far, and I feel that it was a very good decision to move down even though I'm just a little overrolled for it (450 buy-ins nitty enough?). I really recommend moving down to reevaluate your game, and maybe even change sites (I'm pretty sure FTP, if you play there, is the #1 tightest site online, at least for small stakes). |

Re: Why Do I Suck Now?
Limit has gotten much tougher - new players don't play it.I switched to NL in May.
NL has become tougher, but at least you can make something happen. |
