Common paired board situation:
villan is relatively unknown. Hero is TAGGy but has not played many hands. Sorry if this is a super easy question, but I'm trying to get the fundamentals of this game down.
Full Tilt Poker Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $131.70 UTG+1: $14.30 orange: $100 Button: $115.75 SB: $95.75 BB: $141.75 Pre-flop: (6 players) orange is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, orange raises to $4.5, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls. Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($18, 4 players) SB bets $9, 2 folds, orange folds. Uncalled bets: $9 returned to SB. Results: Final pot: $18 My fold seemed incredibly weak. Do you guys call here? Do you call if I had AAxx or KKxx? Does it matter? How about if the number of players he led into was smaller, or it had been HU? thanks alot. |

Re: Common paired board situation:
The person is most likely betting with trip 3, no jack. The fold is reasonable against unknown. I would never call with aaxx here because that is the hand ppl think you have. I only call if I know the person bets air or if i can bluff them on turn if they check.

Re: Common paired board situation:
Easy standard fold.
He bet into 3 players including the pfr. With reads a calldown with AA could be ok cuz some bad players will play KK/QQ/AJ that way or different bad players might bluff. |

Re: Common paired board situation:
given the action preflop, and the fact that the SB led into 3 opponents, he has JJJ33, but that's certainly giving him a lot of credit.
I fold this hand, but, if I were to get tricky I would either raise right here on the flop, or call and see what the turn brings, and if the SB leads again. |

Re: Common paired board situation:
Orange you play PLO now? Jeez.
Pretty standard fold with him leading into 3 of you. If Villain wasn't unknown and known to be superaggro or if this was HU it is a different story. |

Change my hand to AAxx and make it HU. easy call? [/ QUOTE ] SB already thinks you have that. |

Change my hand to AAxx and make it HU. easy call? [/ QUOTE ] Not necessarily an "easy call". It just becomes more read-dependent there. Actually, on this dry of a board, it's probably still a fold, as the only thing people will play like that is usually trips or better or a draw. You could float-call the flop (if it were HU) to see if he's betting something like KK or AJ, but you're probably going to want to fold the turn if he continues to bet. |
