Strange Nut Flush Hand Against TP
Villain is 19/12/1.5, Hero has been running like 25/20/3 and pretty active at the table, c/r'ing flops 3-betting pf a lot. I haven't really been caught bluffing that bad asides from a few c-bets that got called. The flop c/r I feel is fairly standard b/c his calling range is fairly narrow on the A high flop. Then his raise is so small that I feel committed to call.
Once we hit on the turn what's our plan? Bet? If so how much? Full Tilt Poker, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter UTG: $200 MP: $367.70 CO: $508.25 BTN: $775.80 Hero (SB): $359.75 BB: $194 Pre-Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB) UTG folds, MP raises to $8, 2 folds, Hero calls $7, BB folds Flop: ($18) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, MP bets $12, Hero raises to $31, MP raises to $68, Hero calls $37 Turn: ($154) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero? Note stacks are ~180 BB's. PF isn't standard for me but the BB was real fishy and MP and I are deep so I don't think it's terrible. Especially since I'll be making a lot of moves on the flop. |

Re: Strange Nut Flush Hand Against TP
He has to have your range heavily biased toward a flush. If you check it will check thru most of the time. I'd go for making 2 small value bets to make sure some chips get in. Something that TPTK will be forced to call, like 65. Another small bet on the river. Of course if he raises push.

Re: Strange Nut Flush Hand Against TP
I'm not too crazy about the flop raise, though its not really awful. In fact preflop is kind of iffy. Usually a fold is in order.
Lead for $80 here, on the turn. Over $100 likely blows him off top pair and he'll likely call here with an ace and a heart if he has one. Checking allows him to practice pot control with his aces as he will usually take the free card here. If he does and the river is a heart and he's heartless you just take the profit from the flop so continue to build it gradually. $110 looks decent on the river. |

Re: Strange Nut Flush Hand Against TP
Flop c/r is fine, the size of it seems way too small. I'd make it $44 on the flop, but you may have reasons for making it smaller. With these stack sizes, etc, calling his raise is fine too I think.
As for the turn, our hand is somewhat face up but we do have to get some money into the pot because of stack sizes. I think I lead somewhat weak on the turn, maybe 1/2 pot or so. Although it's really obvious, I don't think he's ever betting this turn if we check to him since the turn obviously sucks for him. On the other hand, I think he will be forced to call our turn lead with sets, which sets us up for a river shove. |
