Default KK HU with an A on the flop

suppose you reraise with KK on the buttom a player in MP who seem pretty loose. No read for the agression.
He call as expected.
Then the flop come A72 all differents suit.
He check
Do I
1. Bet 1/2 pot to see where I am. If he call I forget the hand since for him there is a lot of chance I have an A and so if he call he probably have one.
2. I check since the only card I dont want to see is already there so I'm not giving too much for now. I do give him the possibility to steal the pot, but I'm ready to call 1 bet and see what he do on the river. But if he check again after the turn I'm pretty sure he don't slowplay an ace 2 time in a row so I'm probably good and fire a bet.

So i think that againts an agressive player number 1 is better and number 2 for a passive player. Am I right?

And against a player for who you have no read, what would be the general play
