Absolute suggestions thread

I've emailed their VIP department about this thread. Hopefully they will make their presence known (I have my doubts...please prove me wrong here AP). My main intention here is to provide some constructive criticism about the software and the games...not to bitch about the new bonus system. Post improvements you would like to see. I'll start:

1. The 100/200 level is played twice in SNGs. I'm assuming this is because the second level of 100/200 is where antes kick in in the multis. However, since there are no antes in AP's SNGs, it makes no sense to do this. Either add antes or eliminate one of the levels. Either solution would suffice. This saves players time, because the tournaments will not unnecessarily take longer. It will also result in increased revenue for AP since players will then be able to play more tournaments. Its a win-win for everyone.

2. Add turbo SNGs. The lack of these is just inexplicable. Every other major site has them. For example, a regular tournament has 10 hands per level. Perhaps turbos could have 5 hands per level. Obviously, not everyone prefers the fast pace of the turbos, so leaving regular SNGs the way they are would be important as well. The turbos should simply supplement these.

3. Resizable tables. Several other major sites have them with more rumored to be getting them soon. I realize its a pain to put this into the software, but it would be extremely convenient.

These are my major concerns.

Fix the seven card stud tables so that the upcards stop covering up the player names. I'm tired of having to right click every time I'm in a hand with somebody to remind me of who it is.

1. In No Limit, when sizing bets... it seems like if you enter the wrong number to begin, it's really difficult to change it. The slider is too sensitive and I cannot highlight what I typed and hit backspace or whatever.

2. Software speed, it's come a long way but it's still not that fast.

3. How about some info regarding what's going on with UB?

4. Up table limit to 8 but not higher. I think more than 8 and having resizable tables just contributes to the Bonuswhoring rocks they hate. Of course I'm biased since I like to play 8.

5. Do something... anything... to the interface to make it better! It's just so unappealing. I know nothing about design but I know AP is ugly. I've created my own custom layouts but it still seems clunky compared to Stars or UB.

Since we are not complaining here, I would suggest Absolute reps seek out the threads where we clearly ARE complaining about the new bonus structure, and read them.

I was perfectly happy to play exclusivly at Absolute as it existed prior to the change, with no complaints...but, I believe the rake structure makes 2/4 LHE less attractive than 1/2 and 3/6, and slows the upward movement of your winning players.
