I would muck preflop and bet this river every time.

I would muck it pf.... that being said, w/ that action, what's wrong w/ a bet/3bet on the flop as our hand is very well disguised, and then going from there depending on how many callers, if we get capped, etc

Preflop is fine.
I like the flop play.
I would bet the turn. I like betting the turn much more than checkraising.
The way it played out you should bet the river, and I don't think this is close.

My default is to fold preflop and bet the river, however, I have to admit that I have a very hard time putting CO on anything but a flush draw.

Further, it's hard to bet / fold here against an unknown, as he may have rivered the straight with me (or 2 pair, or a set...) and think it's worth a raise for value.

So, do I think I'll get paid off (or raised) by hands that will check behind me twice as often as I'll be raised by a flush? Hmmm... I think it's pretty close. Against an unknown, I'm starting with the assumption that he's kind of a calling station and bet, but I don't hate your decision to give him a little more credit than that and check it.

good luck.
Eric

I concur.

But lets say he raises the turn as an overpair might, we call that assuming we're not getting bluffy...

Now when the straight comes down, the more obvious reason for our turn donk. DO we donk the river again?

I feel your action here would denote a donk in this spot, I also feel the OP's hand deserve a donk unless we have a read that he's gonna value bet this... Howevr this is a really good card for him to feel like checking behind...
