Default Valet parking jobs in Vegas

How much does a job like that pay? I suppose this might depend on which casino you work at. Any insight would be very helpful.

Thanks

Pretty sure you can make 50K+/year at the high end places, but probably need to know someone to get job there.

BTW, something that always pissed me off... whats the etiquette on tipping a valet driver? I want the basics that would translate into something along the lines of "like a dollar or two per pot" obviously the more the tip the more baller it is...

sorry for the hijack. most tipping jobs in vegas are good for around 40-50k/year like the previous poster said, but also getting those jobs are pretty tough just like anywhere in a casino.

From what I've heard the jobs at the nice places pay absurdly well, but are almost impossible to get.

I was tipping the valet $2 everytime I grabbed my car...my buddy was tipping $3.

I would assume trying to find a valet job in vegas is even tougher than finding a decent bartending job there...pretty damn tough. I know 2 people in Vegas who were bartendering in Vegas, and was told that getting a decent bartending job was based on who you know in Vegas, and even then it was tough. I would think getting a valet job would be even tougher.

I heard back in 99 that $10K could get you in a good place as a valet.

I was looking at the career section of a few casino's and saw a few valet positions available. Here is one at the Mirage with 2 openings.

Hookers too.

As for OP's question, I give a buck to drop off and a buck to pick up. Except for a couple notable exceptions, they seem content with that, and usually are extra grateful for the buck on drop-off. This time of year, the thing that really got some gratitude was an extra bottle of cool Gatorade that I had.
