preflop 3-bettor is unknown, cold-caller is a loose fish that has been playing aggressively for several orbits.

What's my river plan?

The drawbacks of the bet-fold default are considerable here. In addition to hoping second pair is best, you're banking on a ludicrous call from the likes of QJ (MP) or TT (Button). Do you collect enough calls in the end to make up for the bets you're donating to MP's weak ace or Button's rivered or slowplayed boat?

Conversely, this is the worst spot to call a bet or raise from anyone.

The boldest option is to check intending to fold. Here's what happens:
If you check and it's two back, you're relieved.
If you check and Button bets, that's probably enough. The worst part of his range consists of pairs lower than queens, all of which he'd check behind, and you're not even last to act.
If you check and MP bets, you sink in your chair. You will be closing the action at 7.75:1 HU against a retard or at 8.85:1 against a retard and a guy who's turned his worse pair face-up.
