Default How many hands is the WSOP winner dealt in the tourney?

Assume 8,000 person WSOP main event. How many hands does the winning player see during the course of the tournament?

Another question I have is say each hand was basically a cash game hand. What would be the winner's ptbb/100 by the end?

If a simulation was run Monte Carlo style would the answers to these questions be pretty similar each time?

Hi WP,

Maybe the Sklansky/MTT/Maths forums might be more use? Or X-post?

This is a very good question and I would be very interested in the answer. However illuminati is absolutely correct. If you do repost this please post the link/forum here.

Last year with 80 mins to go I've found a hand that was definitely 200k/400k blinds which was level 36.

I'm going to assume the tourney ended at the end of level 36, it's within an hour.

That's 72 hours of play.

With approx 33 hands/hour (should be 35+ really, but allowing for all the donking around I've lowered it a touch) that's 2376 hands. Round up a bit as my initial estimate was assumed to be low, call it a round 2500 hands.
