Trying to learn Esfandiari's Muscle Pass

Does anyone have any pointers to doing this trick. Does he pop the coin directly out of the lower palm or does it go off one side of his palm. I can get it to jump like an inch or so but i cant figure out if im doing this right

If you're getting it to pop up at all, it's pretty good for a start. Just keep working at it.

You kind of have to pop it using a flap of flesh from your thumb. Squeeze it hard with the edge of the chip kind of a palmed possition. Eventually the pressure pushes it past your past that bit of thumb flesh keeping it from popping up and then it pops up.

How high it pops depends on the chip and the pressure. Different textured chips pop differently for me.

I can pop a ceramic chip a lot higher than an ASM chip. Cheap suited or dice chips give me mixed results. But the ceramic chips, like those at the Palms, seem to work really well for me. Another chip that I can get a lot of height with is the plastic bicycle chips.
