We're only a few hands in and IDK anybody at this table. Some may question the pre-flop play, but lets ignore that for now. Check/call on flop is a little scary but I thought I could still be ahead, so I bet the turn. His lead on the river is incredibly sketchy. Is he really leading a big ace here? Could he have been slow-playing a hand like A8, 87, 77, or 88? He def doesn't have Axh since I hold the Ah. What do you put him on?

I'd call now, but I really think you have to check the turn for pot control.

why did you bet 1/2 the pot on the turn?
what does this bet represent on a A-8-7-5 board with there being a straight draw and a flush draw now. why not check through the turn and keep the pot small since you dont know where you stand. why not check throught the flop. and try pickin it up on the turn. |

evg,
if you mean turn bet i agree. flop bet 3 handed is fine, although checking is def. an option. |

There is no hand you are ahead here except a pure bluff but I dont see that. Def check through on turn. I lay this down to preserve 2/3rds of stack early.

I don't like preflop. You are overplaying a "trouble hand" with deep money. Also you have players to act and mediocre position. The trouble you got into with TPMK is about whaty is to be expected.

Flop bet is fine I don't mind a check either.
Turn bet is too small and I prefer a check anyway. River as played is a fold. |
