Default Oh noes, you slowplayed a set!

SB is typical aggro LAGtard 40/25/3.5
Button is very loose and passive.
I should have bet/folded the river (DUH!), but what about flop/turn play?

Seriously, I just raise the flop. You have a LAGtard betting who may try to push you off your hand. Or if he started with a legitimate hand, he may have hit something second best or a quality draw and try to valuebet it. Behind you is a guy who likes to call. If he is in the neighborhood of that flop, he might call two. I think there is a lot of value to raising the flop.

As played, yes raise the turn.

As played, please bet the river. (And I don't fold for 1 either if raised cause the pot got big).

NIX, two aspects to the flop - how to get LAGtard to donk off more moneyz to me and how to prevent the passive button from drawing. Raising flop gives drasing hands correct odds, so I can't protect my set on the drawy board. Calling flop and raising turn gives him 2:1, so he'll be making a huge mistake. Which I want him to do. Raising the flop makes him play correctly.

The LAG is aggro, but not stupid he won't 3-bet with air, and would probably check-fold the turn, unless he has specifically a Jack in his hand. By callind flop and raising turn I got 2.5BBs out of him versus potentially 1BB.

I agree with Buzz, it's bet/call vs SB and bet/fold against BTN. He's AF is below the floor, he's not raising an aggressor unless he's hit his flush or straight.

Looks to me like it gives him almost 4:1 -- pretty much enough for a flush draw, no?

Probably not. But I don't know how passive he is, and I'd hate for him to turn over KJ or something.

When I think of someone as a LAGtard, I think of them as being very overaggressive in bad spots for it. I think that would include pushing hard on this flop with an an overpair, Jx, a flush draw or some combos of straight draws and overs. In this case, we could raise, have him reraise and then still pop him on the turn or have him try to trap us with his AA or something equally as good. I wasn't expecting him to fire back with 76s or something.

If your actual read is that he will push until he meets resistance and then give up with less than top pair, then that changes things, but it wasn't really in your OP.

I wouldn't be too concerned about protecting your hand here because you can't do it as CrMenace pointed out. As played, Button is getting about 4:1 to call. In actuality, he needs a shade over 5:1 since some of the clubs are no good and with implied odds, he's gonna come pretty close to that.
