Default All in on a draw??

Hand from the 75k guaranteed on pacific the other night.

Blinds are 75/150. Its just after 1st break and I just got moved tables so no reads.

I am in BB with 2500 (bit below average) and get dealt KdQd. We are 9 handed. Folded to cutoff who raises to 450. Button and SB fold. I call. Villain has about 6k.

Pot 975.

Flop is Jd 8d 3c.

I push all in figuring Villain can't call without a big pair, a set or a jack.

I also dont have enough chips behind remaining to make a semi bluff so any bet commits to hand.

I like this shove too. You dont really have enough behind you to get tricky with this flop. I may even be inclined to check/raise shove here just to get a few more chips out of him. Presuming villain is a reasonable player and knows the kind of bet to make on these flops as c bets (he should bet between 1/2 and 2/3 the pot IMO even if he missed) then your shove should be enough to take him off a missed AK/AQ. I'd say you're getting called the way you play it with 99+, AJ,KJ and maybe the slightly weaker holdings (he raised from the CO) such as A8, QJ etc. . . . Even if he has JJ or 88 which would be the worst case scenario you still have outs, flush draw with a runner runner straight possiblilty. So a push is fine but I also believe check/raising all in is a good play.

I'm not wild on the pre-flop call for 1/5 of your stack without leaving you much FE on a flop CR push. I'd just shove pf.

Yeah I was waitin for someone to suggest that. I always push 1st on flop though because I have no FE if villain cbs.

However Its an eighth of my stack Im calling with. The 150 of my BB is in already. I have 2.5k after that.

I was gonna call you out on the preflop call too, but I don't mind it as much after your response here. Shoving preflop isn't bad either IMO, but the call is fine. On the flop, I think I just shove it in there. You won't get looked up too often, and even when you do you have a decent draw.

without any reads i think this is a definate push preflop, flop push pretty standard. i dont like calling preflop here OOP,push or fold and without any info it looks like a push, IMO.

shove pre

as played, flop is fine. You will probably be looked up by 78+,J9+,99+ so you have significant fold equity and also significant pot equity when called.
