I've said it all season, he's our weakest bullpen member, you don't need someone like him on a playoff roster

I don't think you can take Tavares now, even if he's available -- he hasn't faced live pitching in ages, and I don't think you can spare a spot for a dedicated pinch runner. But I think you *can* take Smith -- the dude's 5-8 as a pinch hitter.

Anyway, they're sending Cook and Hirsh to Arizona Instructional during the NLDS, to see if they can be ready in time for a potential NLCS. Why not send Taveras down there, too? If one of those arms can be capable, I'd substitute them for Morales on the NLCS roster. I think he's got huge upside, but I don't think he's ready for this stage, yet (and should probably start '08 in AAA).

I am so emotionally drained right now, I can't even imagine how Todd Helton feels.

This team has SO much heart, unbelievable how many times they have recovered from being down and out.


I will be flying from Seattle to catch both of the divisional games, meeting my Dad and some friends there, SO EXCITED.

Have NLCS tickets too if they can get past the Phils.
