Default What could I have done?

Villain is 23/16/2.39 after 280. I feel like I should have done SOMETHING here, but I'm not sure what the value would be... if I'm behind, I'm going to cost myself a lot of money by raising... if I'm ahead and raise, I'll probably only make a little more since I may scare out the other caller (who I'm just about sure has nothing)..

I really want to get to showdown, but I feel so weak getting there...

Thanks for the affirmation.

I'm trying really hard not to auto-bet or auto-raise as much as I used to, but rather think things out. My flop aggression used to be out of control.

Sometimes I don't know if I'm overthinking things or not... guess thinking can't hurt too much, though.

Well all you need to do is look at the hand and figure out what good raising would do? When you see that clearly you will only be putting more money into better hands, and shutting down worse hands (+the fact we have an overcaller on a drawless board!), you can confirm for yourself that you played it just fine.

Good luck man.
