This seems like a terrible hand to 3-bet against a drewler.

so flat call, idiot pays you off a decent amount and you are getting decent odds. Not to mention you can play your hand like a set in many situations, two [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]s 54x etc.

Is this generally a lead against this type of guy if hero flatcalled preflop?

Do work,

Rob

The range that villain will get it in with is probably something like {pairs(better than yours}, flush draws, weak combos like yours, and sets obv.} Against that range, you've got like ~25% equity.

I think it's safe to assume that if villain bets when checked to or raises when bet into that he is folding very rarely in general.

You have 163 behind in a 65 dollar pot. Let's look at crai. Say villain bets ~40, hero raises to 163.

75%(-163) + 25%(228) = -$65

Let's say you bet $40 and villain shoves.

75%(-123) + 25%(268) = -$25

If you want to factor in some FE, crai is still def. -EV. The problem with the board texture is that we likely can't cbet profitable against some opponents.

That said I prob. bet 1/2 pot in an attempt to fold out his two big card hands. It only has to work 1/3 of the time and a good % of his range is those hands.

Although, c/f def. wouldn't be bad as a cbet is likely marginal anyway. Obv. preflop is disgusting against this type of player and now you can see why. Don't get me wrong, most of the time we'll flop nothing and be able to bluff and forget about it if played back at, but we are going to flop marginal hands quite often too.
