Default Vegas trip for labor day weekend (8/31-9/03)

I'm going to be doing mostly mid-limit NLHE. I've been shopping around for hotel rooms, and the best deal I've found is $435 + tax (total for 3 nights) for a Garden room at Tropicana.

Am I going to get any better deals for this particular weekend?

That's probably going to be close to the bottom, since the Trop normally cheaper than the rest due to quality.

If you are willing to go off Strip, Orleans is available for room rate total $330 those dates. Orleans room quality is likely higher than Trop, pool location not as good.

I had a great time at the Best Western Inn on Main, just north of the strip. It doesn involve renting a car, but it is still worth it.

1) Use Travelaxe, its a fantastic tool to find the best rates.

2) In addition to the holiday weekend, its the end of the MAGIC trade show - over 110,000 attendees and the second busiest week of the year in Vegas. Yuck.

I've never used Travelaxe before. That's an awesome site. I saw a deal for $245 after tax and fees for Casino Royale. How horrible of a room should I expect?
