Its not a bad promotion for a small affiliate site. The tourney is probably a very small (<$10) buy in. The site will try to get you to sign up under their affiliate trackers (but not require it). Your 100 posts also artificially inflate the traffic on its forums making it look like a bigger site, which might impress the next person that stops by.
