Default $50 KK rr pot vs. regular

Opponent is "convariance" for people that know him and I've got him running around 13/11/9.8 over 1k+ hands. I'm really unhappy with my flop play here. I want to get it in but I don't think this is the best way. fwiw he's raising a 2%pfr regular preflop. Alternatives after the way preflop played out?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($32.35)
UTG ($23.60)
UTG+1 ($46)
MP1 ($66.55)
MP2 ($30)
CO ($43)
Button ($78.30)
Hero ($67)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. MP2 posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.50, 1 fold, MP2 (poster) checks, CO raises to $2, Button raises to $7.5, Hero calls $7.25, 1 fold, UTG+1 folds, MP2 folds, CO folds.

Flop: ($18.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $10.5, Hero raises to $59.5

I'm thinking lead small/3bet is the best line for value.

C/R small lets you at least get value out of the times he has AK, so I'd do that. Folding KK on this board to a 3bet shove with the preflop coldcall just about never.

Bet-3bet would be the way I'd play it.

Villain AF: 9.8! WOW

I would raise preflop. And bet the flop.

I'd make the bet he did and 3bet AI. I think your hand is decently disguised enough that we can lead this flop against such an aggressive opponent. This will get more value than c/r.

I would raise preflop.

[/ QUOTE ]I think that is a pretty big mistake. Sure it can save your stack if he pushes because he's only 5 betting AA but it gets nowhere near as much value as calling and c/r or lead small/3 bet. Even when he does have AA he's probably just calling anyways and I'd much rather disguise my hand than turn it face up.

Especially against someone you see as a regular with solid stats, 4betting is a mistake. FWIW I don't 4bet much at all unless I'm positive the opponent will stack off preflop quite light.
