Sounds a lot like the DVR I get from Comcast for an extra $10 a month.

HD and dual tuner has been a long time coming. How long before it comes in at a lower price?

Earlier reviews mentioned an interface to external hard drive for expanding capacity, but the description states a flat recording capacity.

My buddy tells me he recently had a Comcast DVR that had 3 tuners. He would record 2 shows and watch a 3rd. He's pissed now cause he bought a huge new house and the whole neighboorhood only has Milennium Cable. The don't offer the nice DVR, and they have no On Demand... WTF, no On Demand...

How I would love to see this available as a DirecTV unit. Not gonna happen with Ruppert in charge, but it looks like he might sell out to Liberty Media. Can there be hope? Sell, Ruppert, sell!

you have USED tivo before, right?

I was pointing out what tivo did to make the series3 better than the series2. I was not pointing out why tivo is better than any cable company DVR.
