I'm trying to get a handle on which part of this story is most amazing. I mean, there's her incredible outfit. I can't remember ever seeing any US gov official dressed like a Nazi-party PIO from the 22nd Century. It's as if 20 years ago Barbara Bush had decided to greet the press every morning by sliding down the White House bannisters in an
overstuffed tutu and magic wand....

OR...

An official, ANY official, declaring that she hates every last one of tens of millions of men, women and children, in a country no less with which we are nominally at peace. Let
alone a high-level advisor specifically tasked to deal with the people/region in question...

OR...

An official, ANY official, declaring that our closest ally directly stabbed us in the back by redeploying troops.

Those are each the media equivalent of multi-megaton bombs. This chucklehead managed to detonate all three in the space of a few minutes.
