trip report: friends owned by six year olds

went to the canucks/thrashers game last night with a bunch of friends. between the first and second periods, two teams of six year olds played a short game. these six year olds were subsequently seated directly behind me and my friends. the highlight of the game to this point had been the placement of a siemens ad right night to an ad for kumho tires along the boards, but once the kids were seated, the game got awesome.

a couple of the kids started kicking the backs of two of my friends chairs, we'll call the friends J and O. J tried being friendly with the kids and asking them to stop, while O tried the 'glare and intimidate' tactic. neither worked. finally, O turned to the kid kicking his chair and asked, 'is your dad here?' to which the kid responded, 'is YOUR dad here?'. both J and O were humbled and spent the rest of the game trying to ignore their seats being kicked by the awesomest group of six year olds ever.

wow, what a bunch of pussies. there's no way in hell i'd put up with that for more than about 30 seconds before rectifying the situation.

Well, the world's biggest group of pussies probably wouldn't stand a chance against any single 5 year old of average stature. I think that was fairly clear from the moment that thread started.

In this instance, you have the obligation of beating the child because the parent obviously has been slacking off.
