Default Kill Strategy?

Just wondering if there is any different strategy that I should use in a kill as opposed to a regular limit holdem game.
Should I consider the fact that if I win a second hand in a row that I need to put back out almost half the pot as a blind if I win it? Any advice would be great, thanks in advance.

Default Re: Kill Strategy?

Sure, you can take that into account by reducing the pot odds you've calculated slightly. Posting a blind has a negative expectation, so you could factor that in. Also, pf you might be more inclined to fold marginal hands if you won the last hand.

I play in a half kill omaha 8 game, where any pot over 40 dollars that is scooped triggers a "half kill" (the next pot is 6/12 instead of 4/8). If there are two players in the pot on the river and a bet and a call will trigger a kill, you better be pretty darn sure you have the best hand...basically you're betting 8 dollars to win 8 dollars, 6 of which you'll have to post on the next hand.
