Villain has $400 and I cover. He is pretty loose, can three barrel bluff, and makes some wierd bets. He rarely slows down when he takes the lead. He will raise most pairs pre flop in this spot, and hands like A9+.
One limper and I limp 99, Villain makes it $25. Button, limper and I call. Flop is J J 7 rainbow. Checked to villain, who bets $50. Only I call. Turn is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], second diamond. I check call another $50. River is Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and I check call $75. Great odds on the river, but not much I can beat. I would have been much more comfortable calling a big river bet. Sometimes I will limp reraise pre-flop, and I considered check raising the turn. |

Why do you have to limp-reraise PF when you can just open raise yourself. You isolate the limper, raise with most likely the best hand, attempt to get position in the hand, etc....
As played, the call is fine but I wouldn't be surprised if you are just donating. |

Not raising pre is more of a mistake than you think. Why would you check raise the turn? River I shrug and call i guess.

With another player still to act I might just fold the flop. I probably would actually. Also raise pre. The rest of the hand looks fine.

Perhaps. Attempting to isolate the limper will not work in this game. In many situations I raise medium pairs here as well, but there would have been 3 calers here anyway and I would be stuck in the middle. Its one of those games where an early raise entices callers. I played it rather soft, I guess.
What range would you raise the EP limper here with? Also, whats wrong with check-raising the turn and repping a jack? Thanks all |

The villian's line is so confusing to me.
50/75 50/175 75/275 WTF? At first I thought he flopped the boat w/ 77 and was feigning weakness on the turn trying to induce something, but that flop bet was too strong with two checks in front of him. I don't think he value bets the river with a weak pair and with an overpair I gotta think he bets stronger on the turn. The only hand I can think of is like KQ-AQ. Bluff the flop and turn, only to feel obligated to vbet the river when he hits his queen. |
