This was my second hand at the table and my PAHud isn't working properly with FTP right now, so no reads.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 9 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) Hero (SB): $49.50 BB: $57.50 UTG: $30.10 UTG+1: $17.95 MP1: $73.10 MP2: $110.30 MP3: $9.50 CO: $10.35 BTN: $51.45 Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (9 Players) UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $0.50, 3 folds, CO calls $0.50, BTN folds, Hero calls $0.25, BB checks Flop: ($2) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 Players) Hero bets $1.00, BB calls $1.00, UTG+1 raises to $6.00, CO folds, Hero calls $5.00, BB raises to $20.00, UTG+1 calls all-in for $11.45 Do I shove on top here? I don't want to play for stacks if I'm behind. Should I just call here and pray for the board to pair on the turn? What kind of range should I put the villains on here? Thoughts? I would think that one of them has JT, but what if its UTG+1 that has JT? Maybe BB has something like top 2 or like A9-AJ spades and I can still stack him if the set holds, is it worth it or should I just dump this and move on? |

You can't limp here OOP with most definitely the best hand at the table. You have no idea where you are at and you are out of position. I think that would solve this mess post flop. As for the flop I would bet more than half the pot on this drawy of a board. I don't like the flat call of the raise..especially on that board against multiple opponents.

Sometimes I don't like raising big hands in the SB because it makes it harder to get away from. I lose a decent amount out of the SB, and sometimes I subconsciously play way too weak on SB or whenever I am first to act. However, I think if I raise preflop here at 50NL, I'm still getting called by anything thats beating me on this flop and some hands that are behind.

rofl, then raise more? wow...limping QQ in the sb here is so bad. you're just asking to get beat.
4 ways, you're probably beat, but you're priced in to call. this is horrible all around. |

Everyone loses money from the SB. You can only hope to minimize the amount you lose. You should be raising TT+ and AK, AQs. At the very least raise JJ+ and AK. It will atually make the hand easier to play than in a multi-way limped pot where your opponents (especially in LP) will have a gigantic range. Your raises should be a little larger than pot, maybe just a couple bb more when out of position.

Ditto what everyone else wrote. Raise pre. Bet more on flop. Raise UTG+1.
Get it in. |
